Riberebro plays an active role in all areas of the agri-food industry: cultivation, processing and distribution. The Group is a specialist in vegetables that keeps the whole supply chain under control, from the fields to the supermarket shelves.


The Group’s fresh products are grown on around 430 hectares of land on both banks of the Ebro River (Spain). Mushroom cover some 458,000 m2 in La Rioja and Castilla-La Mancha. Riberebro has a close relationship with farmers. The Group’s experts work hand in hand with them to select the best produce for processing. They supervise the selection of the best seeds, the water used, the organic fertiliser applied, and most strictly, the use of any phytosanitary products needed. Together with the producers, they decide on the best dates for harvesting. The most significant fact about this process is that the products are taken to the processing plants within hours of harvesting. With only a few hours between harvesting and preparation, Riberebro guarantees its products are fresh and the vegetables, pulses and mushrooms reach consumers with all their nutrients.


Riberebro coordinates the work of eight centers of production in Spain, with the capacity to process more than 150,000 tons of fresh produce per year. Its structure integrates all the Mushroom value chain: compost, crops, manufacturing and sales; as well as crafting and marketing of vegetables and pulses. The Group packages canned vegetables, in glass jars and in Tetra Recart® cardboard containers. Riberebro control traceability from sowing to the final product, with a computerized system. Guarantee Food Safety and use the most advanced technology in the processes of review, selection of raw material and processing.

The Group is the sole Spanish company that integrates the entire value chain: compost, crops, manufacturing and sales. Riberebro is a leader in quality, food safety and logistics. The Group’s estimated production capacity is 52,000 tons of mushroom. Riberebro has a 70% production share in canned and 30% in fresh in the Spanish market. Production capacity of phase III compost: 1,050 tons/week.

Fresh mushrooms

The Riberebro Group’s Fresh Unit was a pioneer in the implementation of a new way of producing and marketing top quality freshly grown mushrooms. The company’s cultivation processes make it possible to harvest 365 days a year. This is why it is a leader in assured supply, volume and efficiency in serving its customers in all channels: Retail, Food Service and B2B. Ayecue controls the value chain of cultivated mushrooms: compost Phase III, crops, packaging and marketing. Ayecue is able to guarantee the traceability and constant quality, from the raw material to the final product. Our own Phase III composting plant, the selection of the best raw materials and the control of air-conditioned crops ensure homogeneity in quality and the longest shelf life on the market.
